GMail’s for real, yo
Apparently the link to the dancing robot video came from Giblet’s web site, so I went there…and found a blog entry claiming Google’s new email service GMail is actually for real. The “coming soon” message has been replaced by an actual login box (last time I checked was April 1, and I was pretty convinced it was a hoax). More investigation … found the blogs of a couple of actual Google employees affirming, replete with real screenshots. Looks like Google has been hard at work here, and it appears to be refreshingly different from those other piles of junk. By the way, is it company policy for employees to post pictures of their girlfriends on the front page of a company web site?
