Disconnected
I came back from the grocery store last night to find out that my DSL was gone. My SBC phone service was gone too. I was shocked! Shocked I tell you! It turns out to be a little fiasco between SBC and Vonage that resulted in this…I’ve had to order new service, but I anticipate it might take up to two weeks for the service to be restored. Meanwhile, I probably won’t be able to access IRC at all, and may be a lot slower getting to my email.
I set up a bugtracker for the Enlightenment project yesterday on this server. Hopefully it will become a very useful tool for both developers and testers to coordinate the development process and track bugs/issues accurately. Since I may not be available on IRC for a while, you probably want to email me if you have any issues or questions.

that is ‘par for the course’ for SBC. i found SBC service to be fine, as long as you never need any customer service. the moment you have a problem, it is your problem, not theres.
last year i called SBC and cancelled my land line and DSL service, vowing never to return. i have not taken a single look back, i will never SBC as long as there is an alternative
My service is finally restored now, but it still sucks because I now have to pay SBC monthly for a telephone line, even though I have no use for it. That’s because the current regulations require an active voice line to get DSL service. I have to pay SBC even though I get absolutely no service from them whatsoever. And to think they want to force me to pay more for my Vonage service too just because they want Vonage and other VoIP companies to pay all the same telecoms surcharges that they pay!
