Merry Christmas

My car has been with the mechanic for nearly a month now. Its absence has had quite a profound effect on me … for one, lately I tend to feel like all the angst and energy has been sucked right out of me. Perhaps that’s really because I still haven’t got a job. Looking for an experienced, smart IT professional or software engineer? Hire me!
Code-wise, I can’t say I’ve done too much lately. My Imlib2-based compositing manager (for the freedesktop.org Xserver) project stalled after Raster informed me of a major bottleneck – fetching window data from the framebuffer. Lots of little things are happening in E-land lately though – Evas now has support for yuv pixel data (read: movie objects that behave just like regular images). So you can now apply clips, masks, alpha transparencies and colorizations to movies just like you can with regular images! I’ve tested it and it’s *very* cool. Other stuff is the new ecore_config module created by HandyAndE which I am doing some work on as well, new apps Eplayer and Equate, and some other upcoming stuff. E17 should make it into CVS in the near future.
